A CdeO based restaurant named MyKarelli’s Grill celebrated its fifth anniversary last 16 October of this year. The theme of their celebration was “fiesta” so they invited several bloggers, photographers, designers and several companies to taste their delectable Filipino-inspired dishes.
Before sembreak, my barkada and I decided to go on a road trip to Del Carmen plainly because school was stressing us out plus we wanted to spent some fun quality time before finals week and sembreak. I was very much thrilled to go because I was longing for an adventure and because I also wanted to try out Del Carmen‘s famous Aqua Park.
The beach resort was located at Barangay Kauswagan, Lagonglong which was approximately an hour and a half away from Cagayan de Oro City which gave us time to listen to music, chat and relax.
What I love the most about road trips is that you can be spontaneous! Since Sugbongcogon was only approximately 20-30 minutes away from Lagonglong, we decided to also visit the Mantianac Zoo before heading home.
Here’s a video diary of our adventure:
If you and your barkada or family still don’t have plans this sembreak, Del Carmen is the place to go! You guys will surely have so much fun!
Also, here’s what I wore during the whole trip:
Can’t wait to go on more road trips and adventures with my family and friends in the future!
How about you? What do you love about road trips?
“From here on, it’s BonChon.”
A little background about this brand, BonChon actually came from South Korea and opened its first ever restaurant in Busan (a famous South Korean city) on 2002 and by 2007, soared its way to USA opening in several states.
By 2010, BonChon decided to open their first branch here in Manila. Not long after, more branches started to hatch around the country specifically in Cebu and Davao. BonChon Philippines finally decided to open its first branch here in our very own city last November 30, 2014 at Centrio Mall.
The founder and owner of this globally adored and sought-for-chicken restaurant is Mr. Jinduk Seh. He spent several years perfecting the three special sauces for the coating of their chicken which are Soy Garlic, Spicy and Honey Citrus.
Speaking of the their chicken flavors, you guys should try out Soy Garlic and Honey Citrus! I’m not really a fan of spicy food, so I didn’t try the Spicy-flavored one yet. Hopefully I’ll have the courage to try it soon though. Haha!
Here are more things they serve:
Crunchy Chicken Bulgogi and Beef Bulgogi Rice – P 135
Seafood Platter (Crispy Shrimp + Calamari + Crispy Fish) – P 399
Banoffee Pie Ko-yo, Blueberry Torte Ko-yo, and Mango Sansrival Ko-yo – P 75 (each)
In lieu of the Christmas spirit. I will be giving away 500 php worth of BonChon Chicken Gift Certificates to one (1) lucky winner!

Herschel Supply Co. has finally set foot here at our city!
(Ms. Paola Pilapil , Ms. Janelle, and Me)
Just last month, Herschel opened the world’s first ever Herschel Supply Store here in the Philippines at SM Megamall! And last Sunday, Ms. Janelle de Leon, brand manager of Herschel Philippines, came over for the opening of their first ever provincial kiosk here at Centrio Mall.
In 2009, two brothers, Jamie and Lyndon Cormack, created Herschel Supply Co. which originated in Vancouver, Canada. The name came from the small town where they came from, Herschel. Their goal was to bring well-designed quality built products to market. Their insiprations were drawn from vintage mountaineering, American heritage, world travel and fashion.
I am a really huge fan of this brand and one of the things I love about it is that they have an internal media pocket (for selected bags only; other bags have other awesome features) where you can place your music device (iPods or smartphones). Not only that but a headphone port connects to the media pocket which allows you to listen to music while your device is inside your bag.
For people like me who love to listen to music, it can be handy while on-the-go, helping store devices hassle free.
